i got the following reply to my email that i sent to paul curreri after he played a show in oberlin:

Hey there, Beth --
Kind thank-yous from my direction. It's Sunday morning here (probably Sunday there, too, I guess). Returned back to Virginia last night w/ word that about 20 of my pals'd gathered out at a country-friend's country-house, all beer round a bonfire. Clear and cold night, and I lay exhausted and staring skyward, watching the fire's lit ash race up toward the night. Good to be home.

Anyhow, it's Sunday, and the missus upped to New Jersey for a gig this morning, and contrary to whatchu might think, I can play guitar still, but it's kinda lonely round here. Ahhh well. Maybe I'll make coffee or something, clean the house. I dunno.

I'm listening to Thelonius Monk's solo pianer record, so thing's could be worse.

Again, beth, thanks for the dropped line, truly, and hope to get a chance to return Oberlinward soon. Most sincerely,
Paul
